The Visualist

With the demise of the infamous On the Make, the Chicago arts community lost a great resource for current happenings and catalog of past visual arts events that was a staple for many creatives in the city. As its absence confirmed its necessity, the void left by On the Make could only be filled by a similar entity.

Enter The Visualist. Steve Ruiz had the skill, Jenny Kendler had the funding and I, well, I knew the both of them. I used our shared vision and enthusiasm to design the latest one-stop shop for info on the most interesting and exciting visual arts events in the city. There are no interviews, no blog posts, and no extraneous content to muck it up assuring that you can get in and out with what you need in no time. The Visualist site even features the complete On the Make archives so you can see everything you missed out on before you were in the know.
