Good Wood Exhibition

The Good Wood Exhibition is a bi-yearly fund rasier and art auction to help build new skate parks in various parts of the US. This year the auction raised over $25,000 for the Ride It Sculpture Park in the Detroit metro area.

Meant to graphically represent the numerous "runs" and variations required to stick the landing on any given skate trick, my contribution entitled Tape Deck is a raw wood deck haphazardly covered in various masking tapes, Letraset charting and border tape, color coding labels and more. Once completed the board was sealed in resin, adding an extra bit of pop and flash to the already brightly colored application.
